“We will accelerate work in the semiconductor and electronics sectors”: Prime Minister Modi reveals plans for the new term

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first speech after the counting of votes began, highlighted the achievements of the government of the previous two terms. During his speech, Modi claimed that it was under the NDA government that India became the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. He also highlighted the development of startups and the semiconductor industry. Prime Minister Modi claimed that India would increase production of both electronics and semiconductors during his third term.

Prime Minister Modi said, “We have made India the second largest smartphone manufacturer. Now we will increase employment in sectors such as semiconductor and electronics production.”

He further added, “We have lifted 25 million people out of poverty in the last 10 years.” He added: “From sports, space to entrepreneurship, we will work to provide more opportunities for mothers and sisters.”

Prime Minister Modi declared that the NDA would return to power for a third term. This is the first time since 1962 that the government returns to power after two consecutive terms. At the time of writing, the NDA alliance has managed to maintain its lead of 291 seats while the Indian alliance remains at 234 seats.
