Apple reveals devices compatible with ‘Apple Intelligence’

Apple Intelligence includes a variety of AI-based features. Users can change text content, summarize messages or emails, and generate images or emojis.

Siri is also seeing improvements, now being able to understand on-screen context and offering greater control over the device.

Features leverage on-device and cloud computing.

It is worth noting that Apple has integrated ChatGPT with Siri to enhance its capabilities. However, due to the need for on-device data processing, only the newest Apple devices can take full advantage of Apple Intelligence.

Compatible devices include:

• iPhone with A17 Pro chip or newer
• iPad with M1 chip or newer
• Apple Silicon Macs running M1 or later

For iPhones, only iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max currently support Apple Intelligence. Future iPhone 16 models are also expected to be compatible.

Apple has made the first beta versions of iOS 18 and macOS 15 available to developers, with public betas arriving next month and official releases scheduled for fall.
