Xi signs order to announce revised military audit regulations – Xinhua

BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) — Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission, signed a decree to promulgate a set of revised regulations on military auditing.

The regulations clarify the orientation of the economic supervision of military auditing, emphasize its political nature and political functions, and contain more detailed rules for carrying out relevant work.

The document is of great importance for better using the role of audit in supervision and ensuring high-quality development of China’s national defense and armed forces.

The amended regulations further optimized audit methods for large projects and emphasized inter-ministerial coordination in order to create synergies in supervision.

The regulations, consisting of 75 articles in eight chapters, will enter into force on July 1.
