Musk warns against Apple devices integrated with OpenAI

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he would ban the use of Apple devices in his companies if Apple integrates OpenAI at the operating system level. In a post on Page X, he said this would constitute an “unacceptable security breach.”

This week, Apple announced several generative AI products and services, including a plan to integrate ChatGPT into its devices and a partnership with OpenAI.

Musk also said visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door because they will be held in Faraday cages.

Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015, now runs a rival company called xAI and has been embroiled in legal disputes with OpenAI. It is suing OpenAI and its CEO for allegedly violating OpenAI’s founding agreement and straying from its nonprofit mission.
