NEW DELHI: Mining stocks closed higher during Tuesday’s session.

Ashapura Minechem Ltd. (up 8.64%), MOIL Ltd. (up 3.39%), Pokarna Ltd. (up 1.85%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (up 1.57% ), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd. (up 1.45%), Lexus Granito(India) Ltd. (up 1.03%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd. (up 0.59%), Oriental Trimex Ltd. (up 0.45%), KIOCL Ltd. (up 0.31%) and NMDC Ltd. (up 0.22%) were among those who gained the most.

Top losers included Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. (down 2.79%), 20 Microns Ltd. (down 0.53%), Coal India Ltd. (down 0.29%) and Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd. (down 0.12%). Day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the session up 5.65 points at 23,264.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 33.49 points at 76,456.59.

(up 1.15%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 1.13%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 1.0%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.0%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (up 0.85%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 0.82%) were among the top gainers on the Nifty. Meanwhile, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 1.47%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.35%), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.2%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.1%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 1.01%), ITC Ltd. (down 0.9%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (down 0.89%) ), JSW Steel Ltd.
