Wipro introduces Lab45 AI platform designed to enhance efficiency and transform business functions

EAST BRUNSWICK, New Jersey and BENGALURU, India–(BUSINESS WIRE)–$WIPRO #AI– Wipro (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading technology services and consulting company, today announced the launch of its Lab45 artificial intelligence (AI) platform, powered by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). machine learning (ML) and deep learning technologies that enable companies to increase efficiency, transform business functions and provide industry-specific solutions. Lab45 is Wipro’s Innovation Lab and the Lab45 AI platform is available to all Wipro employees and customers.


The Lab45 AI platform is SaaS (Software as a Service) and supports a variety of cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLM) from leading vendors, as well as custom deep learning models and more. The platform enables seamless integration of linguistic and visual processing to generate images from text prompts, and allows content to be indexed, analyzed and summarized.

With over 1,000 GenAI agents and 10+ GenAI apps, the platform offers ready-made no-code and low-code apps for HR, sales, marketing and operations functions, while allowing you to easily create industry-specific GenAI agents and apps.

WITH APIpowered by access to custom applications, the platform makes it easier for customers to deploy GenAI in their environments. In fact, Topcoder, Wipro’s platform that connects clients to a global talent network of 2 million members, has been using the Lab45 AI platform’s APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) since October 2023, which has resulted in a seven-fold increase in GenAI usage.

Moreover, over the last six months, select Wipro teams and external users have been using the platform and achieving significant time savings and productivity gains.

For example, in human resources (HR), the platform has reduced the time it takes to read and interpret specific clauses from large, voluminous contracts to minutes or hours, enabling significant improvements in the turnaround time and accuracy of the background check process. In sales, the platform enabled better and faster sales and revenue generation, forecasting, sales analysis and report generation by combining well-known LLMs (Large Language Models) coupled with custom deep learning models from Lab45. In marketing, the platform has played a key role in website analytics and lead generation, saving teams a significant amount of time and effort. In quality engineering and testing, the latest proofs of concept (POC) for Wipro customers in banking, pharma, telecom and other industries globally have shown 20 to 30 percent improvements in test cases, test scripts and test result analyses.

Commenting on the advantages of the platform, Shikhar Ghosh, professor at Harvard Business School (HBS), who was an early adopter of the platform as part of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, said: “We used the Lab45 AI platform to teach HBS MBA students about advanced applications of GenAI for business and society.
