Hyundai ranks top in the J.D. Power 2024 US OEM EV Mobile App Report

  • MyHyundai with Bluelink App Ranked Top among Massive Electric Vehicle Mobile Apps for 2024
  • 67% of EV drivers use OEM apps at least half the time they get into their vehicles
  • A well-made smartphone application significantly influences purchasing decisions for electric vehicles, according to a report by JD Power

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California., June 11, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The Hyundai MyHyundai app with the Bluelink app took first place among mass-market mobile applications from electric vehicle manufacturers in the JD Power 2024 US OEM EV App Report. The MyHyundai app with Bluelink outperformed all other mass-market brand apps assessed in the study, with a score of 835 – 78 points higher than the segment average of 757.

Findings from the JD Power 2024 US OEM EV App Report make it clear that automakers with the most effective apps are meeting the needs of vehicle owners by offering key features including the ability to easily set charging parameters, as well as accurate monitoring of active charging sessions. With 67% of EV owners surveyed confirming that they use their brand’s apps at least half of the time they drive, these programs have become a key part of EV ownership.

MyHyundai with Bluelink app was also among the segment leaders in 3 out of 5 rating categories – customer journey, functionality and software. The app has been praised for improvements in fee management, as well as improved remote command execution times. The application was also praised for its extensive set of remote control features, including access to detailed remote vehicle status via a surround-view camera and phone-as-a-key technology.
