Tesla CEO Elon Musk Threatens Apple with Tesla Ban Over OpenAI Integration, Claims Apple Claims to Protect Privacy | National

Elon Musk has threatened to ban Apple devices from Tesla and his other companies if Apple integrates OpenAI technology directly into its operating system. He considers it an “unacceptable security breach.” Visitors would have to check their Apple devices “at the door where they will be stored in a Faraday cage” if such integration took place. Apple has partnered with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT technology to its devices, emphasizing privacy by combining on-device and cloud computing. Musk argued that it is “patently absurd” for Apple to claim it cannot create its own artificial intelligence while assuring that OpenAI protects security and privacy. Musk, who co-founded and later sued OpenAI for straying from its mission, started his own artificial intelligence company, XAI.
