GPC and CNBM expand renewable energy partnership in Europe

GoldenPeaks Capital Holding (GPC), an independent power producer, and China National Building Material Group (CNBM) have announced plans to expand their renewable energy partnership in Europe.

The collaboration aims to develop an annual pipeline of 1 GW projects, covering new markets such as Germany, Italy and Greece.

The move builds on five years of successful cooperation between the two companies.

GPC and CNBM presented an ambitious plan for GPC to implement photovoltaic projects with a capacity of 1 GW per year across Europe.

GPC, already a significant owner of photovoltaic systems in Poland and Hungary, intends to expand its reach in Western Europe.

The company currently operates 800 MW of renewable energy projects, with an additional 1.4 GW under construction or ready for development.

Founder and CEO of GoldenPeaks Capital, Adriano Agosti, said: “We are excited to focus on additional markets in Western Europe. In Germany we will look at several projects, but Bavaria in particular, with its long hours of sunshine and significant industry leaders, has a lot of potential.

“By working closely with CNBM and Triumph, we are confident that we will achieve our goal of developing new projects with a capacity of 1 GW per year. Our combined expertise will enable us to unlock unique opportunities in the European market and beyond.”

CNBM, through its subsidiary Triumph, will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to support these developments.

Triumph, a key subsidiary of CNBM, plays a key role as the EPC contractor for the GPC expansion.

The company provides research, engineering and manufacturing services, ensuring a strong and efficient supply chain for large-scale renewable energy projects.

CNBM Chairman Yuxian Zhou said: “We are proud of our joint successes over the past five years and now look forward to accelerating our growth together. This partnership underscores our shared vision of advancing clean energy on a global scale.”
