A boil water advisory has been issued in Natalia due to reduced system pressure, city officials said

NATALIA, Texas – A boil water advisory was issued in Natalia on Thursday due to an expected decrease in distribution system pressures, according to the City of Natalia Public Water System.

According to the press release, all residents are required to boil and cool water before drinking, wash their hands and faces, and brush their teeth to prevent harmful bacteria and germs in the water.

City officials said the water should be “boiling vigorously” and continue boiling the water for two minutes.

“When boiling water is no longer necessary, public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking or human consumption,” the statement said.

Natalia Independent School District shared on social media about the water line break.

The district told parents there was little to no water pressure and that it was not necessary to remove their children from school, but it would not be held against them if they wanted to.
