Detectives find car used in murder of 3 women in Nairobi

Detectives have seized a motor vehicle believed to have been used in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of three family members in Nairobi.

Nuseiba Abdi’s body was dumped in Bahati, and Amina Abdirashid’s body was dumped in Parklands.

After leaving Parklands, the suspect reportedly grabbed another woman along City Road before heading to South C, where he left Warris Daud’s severed hands.

The suspect then traveled to Kyumbi, Machakos County, where Warris Daud’s body was abandoned.

Police are analyzing CCTV footage and payment details of a petrol station where the suspect refueled the vehicle during this journey.

A team of detectives is investigating the murder and said they are following up on good leads in the murder.

It was revealed that Warris Daud’s wife was living with a second wife in England.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, a number of traders in Eastleigh protested the killing of Somali women, closing their shops as a sign of mourning and demanding justice for the victims.

They were addressed by Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna and Kamkunji MP Yusuf Hassan, among others.

An autopsy will be performed on the three bodies on Friday and they will then be buried at Lang’ata Cemetery.

On Thursday, detectives revisited two crime scenes – Parklands and Kyumbi in Machakos County – to reconstruct the events leading up to the murders.
