Identity of woman killed in I-40 crash revealed

DUPLIN COUNTY, NC (WITN) – Cops have identified a woman killed in a crash on Interstate 40 over the weekend.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the westbound exit ramp of Highway 41 outside Wallace.

Killed was 66-year-old Donna Vickery of Willard, while a passenger was taken to ECU Health Medical Center with injuries.

Police said the woman’s truck went off the road for an unknown reason, overturned and hit a tree.
