UAE announces new traffic law and lowers minimum age for drivers – News

The UAE Government announced a new federal decree on traffic regulations on Friday.

According to a recommendation from the UAE Government Media Office, 17-year-olds are now allowed to get a driving licence.

Previously, a person had to be at least 18 years old to drive a car and light vehicle.
