Rapper Lil Durk indicted for murder-for-hire in Florida – NBC New York

Popular Chicago rapper Lil Dark is behind bars in the Broward County Jail on federal charges.

The 32-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Durk Banks, has been detained on murder-for-hire charges.

Jail records show he was arrested by U.S. Marshals late Thursday and early Friday.

Durk’s arrest comes after five members of Chicago’s Only The Family (or OTF), which the rapper is associated with, were charged with complicity in a murder-for-hire plot in Los Angeles.

It is unclear whether Durk is in custody in connection with the same case.

According to BillboardThe rapper’s collaborations with Drake on “Laugh Now Cry Later” and J. Cole on “All My Life” peaked at number two on their chart. For the previous song, he won a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance in 2024.
