A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious road crash near Bamber Bridge.




Police were called at around 6.35pm yesterday (October 24) to reports of a collision between an Audi S3 and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital where she remains in critical condition.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while over the limit for cannabis and cocaine and driving while impaired by drugs.

Police are appealing for information and footage after a woman was left seriously injured following a collision on Bamber Bridge.

Sergeant Pete Fayans, of Lancashire Police, said: “The collision sent a woman to hospital with very serious injuries. First of all, our thoughts are with her as she undergoes treatment.

“Although a man has been arrested, our investigation continues and we are asking for your assistance.

“If you have dash cam or CCTV footage of Tram Lane between 6.30pm and 6.45pm please contact us. Alternatively, if you have any information that could assist our enquiries, please let us know.”
