Bulldogs Open as Big Favorites

The Georgia Bulldogs opened as a heavy betting favorite against the Florida Gators.

The Georgia Bulldogs have a bye this week, as they usually do before the Florida game. The two teams will meet next Saturday in Jacksonville for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party and play in a classic SEC rivalry. Georgia is coming off a big win against Texas while Florida takes care of Kentucky.

There is still more than a week until the match takes place, but the odds for the matchup are starting to be announced. While Georgia is fighting for a spot in the SEC Championship game and the college football playoff, Florida is doing everything it can to qualify for the bowl as it is 4-3. However, it’s not much of a surprise that Georgia is an overwhelming early favorite in this game.

According to VegasInsiderGeorgia is a 20.5 point favorite per Fan Duel. Florida has beaten Georgia just twice since 2016, when Kirby Smart took over as head coach. The Gators have not been able to keep their score above 21 points in the last three years.
