Paramount Pictures releases trailer for upcoming drama thriller 5 SeptemberIt focuses on the ABC Sports TV team during the horrific and tragic events of the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics.

This is the story of when the Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September took the entire Israeli Olympic team hostage in Munich. It looks like an incredibly intense and exciting movie.

The summary is as follows: “5 September It describes the defining moment that changed media coverage forever and continues to influence live news today.

“Set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, the film follows an American Sports broadcast team that quickly adapts from sports reporting to live coverage of Israeli athletes held hostage.

“Through this lens 5 September provides a new perspective on the live broadcast, which was watched by an estimated one billion people worldwide at the time.

“At the center of the story is Geoff (John Magaro), a young and ambitious producer trying to prove himself to his boss, legendary TV executive Roone Arledge (Peter Sarsgaard).

“With the German translator Marianne (Leonie Benesch) and his mentor Marvin Bader (Ben Chaplin), Geoff unexpectedly takes over the live broadcast.
