SCDOT closes lanes in Florence County for road work

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – State officials want to keep drivers in the Pee Dee informed about upcoming roadwork.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation said: Beginning Oct. 27, lane closures will be extended along SC 327 between East Palmetto Avenue and Old Marion Highway in Florence County.

The closures will continue until 6 a.m. on November 1.

According to SCDOT, crews will complete drainage work and install turn lanes during the closure.

“SCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when passing through the work area,” the agency said in a statement.
