The body of a 70-year-old man was found in the bathroom of a Union City home, and authorities said his death was not considered suspicious.

UNION CITY, California. – The body of a 70-year-old man was found in the toilet of a house Union CityAuthorities said his death was not considered suspicious.

Police officers found Darryl Emerson’s body Aug. 17 at a home at 385 Appian Way during a welfare check on his 95-year-old mother, a cousin said.

Police said the body may have been there for weeks, long enough for it to harden.

Authorities determined the victim died of natural causes and said there were no signs of criminal activity or suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
