Clay County worship leader accused of illegal sexual activities with teens

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A worship leader at a Clay County church was accused of engaging in illegal sexual activity with a teenage churchgoer.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said a three-month investigation into allegations against Jeremiah Grover began in June.

Grover worked as a worship leader at Elevate Life Church in Oakleaf Plantation. Investigators said the alleged criminal sexual activity involved a 16-year-old church member.

CCSO said Grover traveled to Clay and Duval counties to meet with the teen to commit a sex crime.

Grover was arrested for unlawful sexual activity with a minor, traveling to meet a minor, lewd and lascivious touching, and transmitting harmful material to minors.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe there are additional victims.
