From a political perspective, being Green is no longer that easy

“It ain’t easy being green,” Jim Henson told us (via Kermit the Frog). But from a political perspective, this is exactly what the situation looked like. Attack Labor from the left for not being progressive enough, without having to convince the majority. Hold the party to impossible standards without being responsible for any consequences. All whining with no work.

In Canberra’s own version The Muppet ShowBeing green is a dream. But last weekend the Green dream looked a little darker as votes were counted for sensible and sustainable Subaru drivers in our bush capital.
