Brown County Council wants to fill 2 seats after leaders resign

GREEN BAY — The Brown County board needs to fill two open seats after board members Salvador Sierra and Jessica Adams announced their resignations this month.

Salvador Sierra of District 15 is moving to Miami for a new job and resigned Oct. 7. Jessica Adams of District 19 announced Wednesday that she has a new job that prevents her from holding public office.

Anyone who is a county resident interested in filling their seat can submit an application to Patrick Buckley, chairman of the county board, by November 1st. Buckley will contact candidates for interviews and will present two candidates at the Dec. 18 meeting. District Council meeting.

The new members will serve until the end of the term until 2026.

Adams was on the board of directors from 2022 and Sierra joined the board of directors in January. District 15 consists of the western Bellevue and Allouez neighborhoods, north of Mission Road. District 19 covers much of eastern De Pere.
