Here are the podcasts Trump and Harris did

Former President Donald Trump Friday’s interview with Joe Rogan, the most popular podcast host in the country, underscores a trend this election cycle in which presidential candidates are using podcasts to focus on target audiences.

During this stripped-down campaign – which remains tied as election day approaches – some traditional giants of journalism are being pushed aside. The growing popularity of podcasts and their ability to help candidates in tight races target a specific portion of the electorate is a major reason why. Since 2016, the number of podcast listeners has nearly doubled.

Trump, for example, has turned down interviews with 60 Minutes and other major news outlets in favor of male-dominated influencers such as Adin Ross and Logan Paul. The former president has largely stuck to what he considers a friendly space with direct access to his core audience.
