Suspect flees after crashing stolen car near Searles, Bruce

The Las Vegas Police Department is investigating a robbery that happened Friday evening near Searles Avenue and North Bruce Street.

According to police, around 8:30 p.m., a victim reported her vehicle was taken in an armed robbery in the 700 block of Wardell Street.

The suspect fled in the vehicle and then crashed into a pole near Searles Avenue and 21st Street. Street, the police say.

LVMPD says the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

The roadway will be closed until the debris left by the accident is cleared.
