In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly raped repeatedly by her father, news agency PTI reported, citing police officials. The victim’s mother passed away a decade ago, leaving her vulnerable to the alleged abuse, rural police superintendent Sagar Jain said.

This week, a brave teenager plucked up the courage to report the horrific crime to police, detailing the horrific experience she endured at the hands of her father. She said that whenever she protested or resisted, her father beat her severely. Even though her family members were informed about the incident and the Panchayat issued a warning to her father, the alleged abuse continued.

Based on her complaint, an FIR was registered and the victim was sent for medical examination. The accused’s father has been arrested and further investigation is underway, as confirmed by Superintendent Jain.

This disturbing incident highlights the need to raise awareness and support for victims of child abuse.

Horrors of Madhya Pradesh

In a separate incident, eight people were arrested in connection with gang rape in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh – five alleged rapists and three men who filmed the attack. The victims, a newlywed couple in their 20s, reported the incident to the Gurkha police station. The police took the accused into custody.

The woman alleged that five men took turns raping her near the fountain, the DSP said, adding that the accused also recorded it on video.

One of the five arrested accused, whose identities are yet to be revealed, told police that eight of them went to Bhairav ​​Baba and some of them smoked marijuana and forced others to do the same. “We have lost our minds. One of the group members saw a couple sitting on a hillock. We went there… Five or six raped the woman. They also beat the man before tying him to a tree,” the accused was quoted as saying by the investigator.
