Donald Trump tore up Kamala Harris’ interview with 60 Minutes about Joe Rogan: “Election interference”

Donald Trump criticized CBS and 60 Minutes for their editing of a recent interview with Kamala Harris during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience on Friday. Trump said the editing was “election interference” and the “worst” example of media manipulation he has ever seen.

“Kamala goes on 60 Minutes, gave an answer that a child wouldn’t give, it was so bad, and 60 Minutes took the answer out and put in a different answer,” Trump said.

“They fraudulently edited it,” Rogan responded.

“It didn’t make sense either, but it was better,” Trump continued. “They took it – well, this is not editing, this is fraud. This was not editing.”

A moment later, Trump said, “I think this is the biggest scandal in the history of broadcasting, what happened to CBS.”

The Republican presidential candidate added: “This was election interference and fraud.”

Friday marked the latest round of the war of words between Trump and CBS. Earlier this month, Trump criticized “60 Minutes” for editing Harris’ response to Bill Whitaker’s question about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the war in the Gaza Strip.

The vice president’s original response, which you can read below, was circulated on X the day before her full 60 Minutes interview aired on October 7. You can also read the edited answer that CBS used on the show.

Original: “Well, Bill, the work we’ve done has led to a number of movements in the region on the part of Israel that were largely caused or resulted from many things, including our advocacy of what was going to happen in the region.”

Edited by: “We’re not going to stop pushing for what it takes for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need to end this war.”

Since then, Trump has criticized CBS several times. A few days after the interview, Harris called 60 Minutes. “fake news scam”and called on the FCC to “take away CBS’ license.”

FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel responded by criticizing Trump, saying his comments were “threats to freedom of speech.”

CBS News also came out against Trump. The editors denied Trump’s accusations that it fraudulently edited Harris’ interview.

“Same question. Same answer. But that’s another part of the answer,” CBS said in a statement. “When we edit any interview, be it a politician, an athlete or a movie star, we strive to be clear, precise and accurate. “Part of her answer on ’60 Minutes’ was more succinct, which allows time for other items in the broad 21-minute segment.”

The battle between CBS and Trump continued this week. network refuses Trump’s demand publish an unedited transcript of Harris’ interview.

Trump’s latest comments came during what could be called, to use a cliché phrase, a wide-ranging discussion on Rogan’s podcast. The episode was released late Friday night on Spotify and YouTube. In its first 7 hours on the platform, it collected 7.2 million views on YouTube, despite a technical issue that prevented it from working for some time.

Rogan rushed to X to report that it was just a “glitch” and not “YouTube censors Trump episode.”
