Record high temperatures possible this weekend

Record high temperatures possible this weekend

MOBILE, Alas. (VALA) – Welcome to the weekend! Record temperatures are possible again today and tomorrow, with temperatures dropping slightly next week. The trough and associated front will approach our area Sunday night and Monday. This front will not be strong enough to bring cooler air. However, this will only reduce our temperature by a few degrees. Next week, highs will fall from the upper 80s to the mid to lower 80s.

Looking forward to the Halloween forecast, daytime temperatures look to remain in the 80s. The evening should still be pleasant, but a shift in wind direction from the south will bring a little more humid air to our area.

Saturday forecast: High temperatures this afternoon
Saturday forecast: High temperatures in the afternoon(VALA)

The afternoon will be sunny and warm with temperatures near 90° across much of our area. Temperatures on the beaches will be in the 80s. Today the risk of a reverse current is small. On Sunday the forecast will remain the same with another hot day expected.

Overnight temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday night will drop into the low 50s inland and into the low 60s just off the coast.

NEXT WEEK:

Despite a slight drop in temperatures early Monday, we expect temperatures to remain above average. This front will cause temperatures to drop several degrees next week. Highs will be in the 80s. Morning lows will remain very mild, around 60°. Later in the week, more moisture enters the image, causing it to appear less crisp and cool each morning. Around the middle of next week we will also see a change in wind direction and an increased risk of rip currents.
