  • “Georgian Dream” – 52.99%;
  • “Coalition for Change – Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa” – 11.2%;

  • “Girchi” (Iago Khvichiya) – 3.22%;
  • Alliance of Patriots/Alt-Info – 2.53%;

The elections were recognized as valid. The Central Election Commission continues to count votes. Tomorrow, October 27, the remaining data will be announced.

According to preliminary data, the Georgian Dream receives about 90 mandates out of 150; in addition to the ruling party, four parties that have overcome the 5 percent threshold will enter parliament.

Georgian Dream did not receive the constitutional majority it had hoped for. In his opinion, the party needed to get 100 mandates. This, in particular, means that the second attempt to impeach the president Salome Zurabishvili may fail again.

At the same time, Georgian Dream will be able to elect a new president. This year, for the first time, the president will be elected not by citizens, but by a panel of 300 electors, which will include members of parliament, the highest representative bodies of the Abkhaz and Adjara Autonomous Republics, and members of the representative bodies of the Abkhaz and Adjara Autonomous Republics. local government.

Presidential elections will take place 45 days after the first meeting of the newly elected parliament.
