The winner of the “Voice 2024” competition has been announced

Singer Ava Mannings was named the winner of The Voice 2024 during the show’s grand finale.

Her mentors, McFly stars Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, rushed on stage to congratulate her after it was announced she would take home a recording contract, a £50,000 cash prize and a holiday to Orlando.

After Ava was announced as the winner, host Emma Willis asked how she was feeling, to which she replied: “Numb, just like I am every time.” I’ll probably be a little speechless this time, but I’ll be forever grateful.”

Addressing her fellow finalists, the Bristol-based groomer added: “And they’re amazing, so I feel really honoured.”

In the finale, the final four showcased their talent with solo performances and then returned to the stage to duet with their mentors.

Ava had a whirlwind week leading up to the final as her coaches decided 48 hours earlier to change her song of choice to The Long And Winding Road by The Beatles.

After his unique performance of the song, Will.i.am called it “impressive” and Sir Tom revealed that Sir Paul McCartney wrote the song for him but they couldn’t release it on time.

He added: “I’ve always loved that song and every time I hear someone do it I think, ‘Oh my God, I should have recorded that song.’ You did a wonderful job with this song.”

Ava Fletcher’s trainer said she made him cry and Jones said she “gave her whole heart.”

For their duet, Ava performed an emotional version of Hoobastank’s The Reason along with members of McFly.

She was up against strong competition from fellow finalists Deb Ora, twins Billy and Louis, and Storrie.

Middle school teacher Deb performed a soulful version of JP Cooper’s “Holy Water” mixed with Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks” for her solo song.

Afterwards her mentor, American singer LeAnn Rimes, told her it was “a performance that rivals anyone” and Sir Tom said: “It looked great and it sounded great and I felt it – fantastic.”

The teacher performed a powerful duet of Hozier’s “Nina Cried Power” with her coach Rimes and the gospel choir.

Twins Billy and Louis from Wiltshire were at their best as they performed Fall On Me by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera for their first performance.

Rhimes said it was their best performance on the show, and their coach Sir Tom added: “I can’t blame you one bit. Your harmony is great and you are two great guys. So I’m very, very proud of you.”

The Welsh singer joined the pair for a moving performance of Farther Along, which has previously been covered by the likes of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.

Storrie first delivered a powerful rendition of Alphaville’s Forever Young, with her mentor, reigning champion Will.i.am, telling her afterwards that she had “all the power, ability and dazzle.”

Rhimes added: “When you step on stage, you are so graceful and elegant and you glide across the floor so beautifully. It was a great performance. you should be very, very proud of that.”

For the duet with the Black Eyed Peas star, the singer chose Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River, which allowed her to demonstrate her vocal range, and Will.i.am added his signature rap style to the track.

Willis hosted the final, which also featured Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, who performed her track Forget About Us.

Reigning champions Newcastle busking duo Jen and Liv, now called Hunny, also performed their new single Heartbeat.
