A motorcyclist has died in a multi-vehicle crash near Northeast Philadelphia, police say.

A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash near Bustleton Avenue and Tomlinson Road in Northeast Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Police said the motorcyclist, a 22-year-old man, was speeding north on Bustleton Avenue, weaving between lanes of traffic, when he collided with a private vehicle that was traveling southbound and turning left onto Tomlinson Road just after 3:30 p.m.

Paramedics transported the man to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and pronounced him dead at 4:24 p.m.

According to police, four vehicles, including a motorcycle, were involved in the accident.

After the initial collision between the motorcycle and the private vehicle, two vehicles following the private vehicle collided from behind, police said in a statement.

No other injuries were reported.
