The City of Middleboro is looking for donations and volunteers to help dogs evicted from a home on Presynct Street.

The City of Middleboro is currently seeking donations for the dogs that were recently rescued from a home on October 18th.

On Friday, Oct. 25, the Middleboro Animal Shelter, located at 50 Joe Ciaglo Way, took in nine dogs from the home, leaving the shelter at capacity for dogs being cared for. The remaining eight dogs are in the care of the MSPCA.

The animal shelter is currently asking for the following donations:

  • Purina One dry dog ​​food

  • Any type of wet dog food

  • Metal water buckets (6, 9 or 12 liters)

  • Dog beds (any size, but large and elevated ones are best)

The shelter is also asking for volunteers to help walk and socialize the dogs as they continue to recover from injury and learn their new environment.

“If you love animals, you are the perfect person to volunteer and help us as we care for these dogs,” said Health Director Kayla Smith. “We want to help dogs socialize and feel loved in our care.”
