Teen found guilty of killing 14-year-old Cleveland boy

A 17-year-old was found guilty of multiple charges in the murder of Braylon Harges, according to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

The teenager was found guilty of the following charges:

  • One count of aggravated murder
  • Two counts of murder
  • Two counts of assault.

Harges, 14, was shot and killed near East 93rd Street. and Edmunds Avenue in November 2023 and pronounced dead at University Hospital. News 5 reporter Kaylee Olivas spoke with Harges’ mother as the 17-year-old’s trial began earlier this week.

The teen found guilty was being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail on $1 million bail, according to court records.

According to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, the teen’s case was mandatory, meaning the juvenile’s case is automatically sent to adult court for adjudication without a judge first reviewing the facts or evidence.

He has a hearing scheduled for Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m.
