One person was killed in a shooting near 14th and Atkinson, the DOE said.

MILWAUKEE — A man died following a shooting near 14th Street and W. Atkinson Avenue around noon Saturday, according to the Milwaukee Medical Examiner’s Office (ME).

The Milwaukee Police Department secured the area near the intersection and Milwaukee Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene.

According to MFD, a car was called to the scene after it crashed into a lamppost and took one person to hospital for treatment.

TMJ4 reached out to MPD for more information but did not receive an immediate response.
