Dangerous Persons Alert canceled

The dangerous people alert has been cancelled.

Two suspects were arrested in the Tobin Lake area.

There may be two more suspects remaining unidentified who may be on foot in the Tobin Lake area.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the Saskatchewan RCMP has determined that this incident no longer meets the criteria for a dangerous person alert.

We continue to monitor the situation and update information as it becomes available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.

Residents in the Tobin Lake area may notice a continued increased police presence.

It is important for motorists to note that Highway 123 north of Tobin Lake is closed due to an ongoing search and police presence. The public is asked to avoid the area.

Update #3: Prince Albert RCMP warn the public about dangerous people

Officers from multiple divisions and detachments of the Saskatchewan RCMP are now in the Thunder Rapids area and continue to search for the suspects. We have no further news regarding the investigation at this time.

The dangerous person warning remains in effect; We ask that people in the Thunder Rapids area remain safe with doors and windows locked. People in the area should not stop for hitchhikers or approach suspicious people.

Residents of other nearby areas should take precautions.

Investigators continue to ask members of the public to report any information or suspicious sightings to 911.

Update #2: The suspects are now believed to be on foot in the Thunder Rapids area on Highway 123. They are no longer in the vehicle. The public is advised to STAY AWAY from this area.

There are several suspects. They are considered armed and dangerous.

If you are in and around Thunder’s Rapids: Immediately find shelter or shelter in place and close and lock doors and windows. Don’t leave your safe place. Be wary of anyone asking for a ride. Update #1: Prince Albert RCMP warn the public about dangerous people

The suspects were last seen with a gun at approximately 10 a.m. on Highway 123 heading north toward Cumberland House. They are still in a white 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab with a green toolbox and Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50.

The suspects are described as three or four men. They may wear black bandanas or black balaclavas. The suspects are believed to be armed with firearms and are considered dangerous.

Prince Albert RCMP are warning the public about dangerous people involved in numerous vehicle robberies using firearms.

On October 24, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a robbery north of Prince Albert, SK.

The initial investigation determined that a man was in a vehicle traveling near a White Star elevator north of Prince Albert, SK when he was approached in a vehicle by several men.

The suspects shot and killed the man. They were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The suspects stole the man’s car.

The suspects are described as three or four men. They may wear black bandanas or black balaclavas. The suspects are believed to be armed with firearms and are considered dangerous.

They may be driving a white 2020 Dodge Ram with a Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50. (Yes, it’s only 5 characters.)

The suspects are believed to have been driving near the intersection of Highways 55 and 123 near Prince Albert.
