Pedestrian hit by car during football game in Lone Oak

LONE OAK, Texas (KLTV) – Lone Oak ISD is mourning the loss of a staff member’s brother who was hit by a car during Friday’s football game.

ISD released a statement saying a man was hit by a car on Highway 69 and asking for the public’s support as he deals with the heartbreaking loss.

The victim was a lifelong resident of the Lone Oak community and the brother of one of the employees, according to ISD. The statement said school counselors will be available to provide support to those affected.
