Minerva Chamber Member Honored as Bright Star

A Minerva businessman was awarded the Northern Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s top prize at an event this month.

Nathan Meadows, kitchen manager for Minerva Grinders Beyond and Beyond and assistant director of the Minerva Chamber of Commerce, received the Bright Star Award on Oct. 10 during a ceremony at the MAPS Museum in Greene.

Northern Ohio Chambers of Commerce have recognized volunteers from their organizations as their “Bright Star.” Winners are recognized for their work helping chambers with issues such as membership, retention and sponsorship.

Meadows was nominated by the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for his volunteer work at the chamber’s Roxy Theater. He volunteered in the theater for 12 years, directing community theater productions, building sets, fundraising and helping with renovations.

A bright spot for the Minerva Chamber also highlighted at the event was the resumption of the Second Friday celebration, which Meadows spearheaded. Activities include live music, vendors, inflatables, games and food trucks.
