However, some argue that there are other factors to consider when it comes to a positive Amazon experience. For example, several Internet users advised opening an Amazon package from outside considering the possibility of the package contains cockroaches. Others detailed how they could tell if an item they purchased was new. actually came back earlier.

Just recently, an Amazon employee advised people to avoid placing packages on places like beds and countertops.

Why should you avoid placing Amazon packages in these locations?

In a video that has over 839,000 views, TikTok user @jxhzeel.a wrote: “As someone who works at Amazon, please stop putting your packages on your bed or countertop.”

She then shows her sweatshirt covered in dirt.

“This is how dirty my NEW sweater got in the first hour of working my shift,” she added in the caption.

Dirty packages aren’t unique to Amazon. According to October 2022 Study From delivery software company Circuit: “Retail packaging contains 6 times more bacteria than a toilet seat.” And more than a quarter of Americans say they didn’t sanitize or sanitize their packages before opening them.

Despite this, opening packages inside is reportedly common, with more than half of respondents admitting to opening delivered packages on their beds or kitchen tables. Less than a third said they open packages on the street.

“Bro, I work at Amazon and I see how messy this whole process is, but I still put packages on the bed,” the commenter said. “Ugh, I never (learn), let’s hope it will benefit my immunity.”

“I feel this way too, working at UPS,” another added. “At the end of the day, my hands are just disgusting.”

“I work for FedEx and I don’t even want to talk about how many shirts are stained from how dirty the bags and boxes are,” said a third.
