Case details

The May 15 crash near 95th Street and Brown Deer killed 31-year-old Kimberly Robbins.

Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene. The criminal complaint says her white Jeep hit a tree, overturned and landed on a fence. A white Nissan was also involved in the accident.

Investigators identified the driver of the Nissan as Dickerson, according to the complaint. He left the scene before police arrived.

Surveillance video from a nearby school showed Robbins and Dickerson’s vehicles heading west on Brown Deer Road, both speeding, according to the complaint. Robbins attempted to drive into Dickerson’s lane, where two vehicles collided. Robbins’ vehicle left the roadway and Dickerson’s vehicle slowed down and stopped.

Dickerson was taken into custody later that night. The complaint says he admitted he did not have a valid driver’s license, but claimed he did not know his license had been revoked. As for the crash itself, he said he remembers the white Jeep speeding and changing lanes before the crash, but thought he blacked out for about a minute.

Dickerson also told police that firefighters treated him at the scene and he left. He said police did not respond for about an hour after the crash.
