The news came shortly after Beyoncé appeared at Harris’ rally in Houston on October 25.. Speaking at the rally, Beyoncé said: “I’m not here as a celebrity; I’m not here as a politician; I’m here as a mother. A mother who cares deeply about the world in which my children and all our children live. A world where we have the freedom to control our bodies. A world in which we are not separate: our past, our present and our future merge to meet us here.”

“Imagine our daughters growing up and seeing what is possible without ceilings or limitations. Imagine our grandmothers, imagine how they feel now. those who lived to see this historic day. Even those who are no longer with us physically – imagine all their sacrifices, sacrifices made so that we could witness the power of a woman standing in her power, redefining what leadership is.”

IN four-star review of Abrams’s The Secret Is UsHannah Milree wrote for NME: “It’s a moment of pure pop catharsis that draws on the good, the bad and the messy fascination. That’s the joy of The Secret of Us: it doesn’t shy away from complexity and controversy. Here, Gracie Abrams acknowledges her growing pains and celebrates surviving difficult moments. She never sounded better.”
