Disney Lorcana’s new Azurite Sea maps feature Moana to save the game.

Disney Lorcana new collectible card game from Ravensburger that competes with Magic: Gathering, Pokemon Trading Card GameAnd Star Wars Unlimited among other things, released the sixth set of cards. The journey continues in lapis lazuli sea with a solid themed pair of starter decks available for pre-order now. Honestly, with so many different fictional universes to choose from, it feels like this game is finally hitting its stride.

lapis lazuli seaThe Emerald and Sapphire deck is led by Lifeguard’s Gadget Hackwerch, Shiny Bosun, and its goal is to keep item cards in play. Once you have three character cards with the inventor keyword on the table, you will receive one less inkwell. And my goodness, there are a lot of them in this deck, including most of the cast. Big Hero 6; Goofy, expert shipwright; and another version of Gadget subtitled Perceptive Mouse.

Meanwhile, the set’s Amber and Ruby deck features a much more diverse team, led by Tigra from Crow’s Nest. Fix It’s capable hands include Felix Jr., Jim Hawkins and John Silver of Treasure Planetcomplete set Peter PanDear children, and also Moana and Jasmine.

This deck finally brings the game’s location cards to the forefront with Moana, the leader of Kakamora. Her mass travel ability, called Gather Force, allows you to land a bandit regiment on distant beaches to gain knowledge for every sailor that comes ashore.

The entire collection goes well with the ship-shaped art. After a fairly simple launch, it’s nice to see that the mechanics work well with the theme.
