At the time of writing Ready or Not 2 has no official release datewhich is not too surprising. The sequel was only officially announced in mid-October 2024 at a special screening of the original, which was attended by directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Radio Silence’s Tyler Gillett, as well as star Samara Weaving. Obviously the place is movie schedule for the upcoming 2024 unlikely, unless it has already been filmed and mounted, but I would not rule out for now that it will become upcoming movie 2025.

There’s not much to say about the plot either. Ready or Not 2 but I think it will involve Grace, the heroine of the first film, being caught up in yet another terrifying game of cat and mouse. The last time we saw the blood-spattered bride in Ready or Not ending – ATTENTION, SPOILER – she had just survived a deadly hide-and-seek match against her wealthy satanic relatives, whose failure to sacrifice her to Mr. LeBail in time resulted in each of them exploding into a reddish pulp.

The authenticity of this rather ominous ending has previously been proven. I’m tired Ready or Not continuation got together even when it was just rumors, and on the other hand, CinemaBlend Sarah El-Mahmoud demanded Ready or Not 2 just a month after the original was released. Looking back and in light of the news of a sequel, I agree that this is a continuation of what seemed one-shot horror film can be fun and meaningful in many ways.

Perhaps the storyline could rely more on the supernatural as a movie “Haunted House” in which Grace inherits the Le Domas estate and battles the vengeful spirits of her relatives. Or maybe PoH2 could place her in a completely new environment where another strange and violent situation occurs. She might even lead her own hunt.

Whatever Ready or Not 2 turns out I’m just glad Samara Weaving will helm it again, a casting move that might not have happened if original ending Ready or Notin which her character is ultimately sacrificed, was not cut in favor of a more positive ending. Her performance in the original immediately made Grace one of the best modern girls from the finalsand made Weaving a favorite among the horror community.

Of course, the Australian actor and model (and niece of Hugo Weaving) already had experience working with this genre, namely repeated participation in Ash vs. Evil Dead and leading roles in films chaos and a Netflix horror movie, Nanny. She then continued to honor her reputation as a Scream Queen by appearing in 2023. Scream VI (which has Ready or Not Easter Egg) and a post-apocalyptic survival thriller set in 2024. As seen in TikTok author mamasgeeky, who captured Ready or Not During the Q&A portion of the screening, Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett personally confirmed that they are directing the sequel. After their success, they topped the segments anthology of favorite horror films V/H/S And South directionoriginal Ready or Not brought them mainstream success, allowing them to film two Scream movies and recognized vampire movie Abigail.

A third member of the cast, Chad Villella, is also involved in the film. Ready or Not 2 as executive producer, as on all of his other projects with Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillette (except when he also directed them V/H/S And South direction segments.) Guy Busiek and R. Christopher Murphy are set to return to write Ready or Not 2also writing the predecessor. In fact, the original thriller was the first of four collaborations with Radio Silence for Busick, who co-wrote both of their films. Scream films with James Vanderbilt and co-written by the screenwriter Abigail with Stephen Shields.

Busik previously collaborated with Murphy on TV series. Stan vs Evil and one of Best Horror TV Shows on Hulu, Castle Rocklike writers. Murphy first started out as a production assistant on horror films such as 2003. Wrong turn And Werewolves from 2006 to associated production in 2007 Death of Ian Stone and writing excerpts for a 2016 anthology entitled Minutes to midnight. He and Basik also have cameo roles in Ready or Not like the guys in the video on how to use a crossbow that Fitch (Kristian Bruun) looks up at at one point.

As of October 2024, the first Ready or Not is one of the best horror movies on Hulu. Of course, logging into a Hulu subscription is just one way to keep up with the action-packed thriller and get ready for the sequel.

One thing I especially hope to see with this sequel is that it gets a more creative title than just Ready or Not 2. I mean the obvious and perhaps better choice would be something like Ready or not, they’re hereor even Ready or not, here she comesreferring to Grace’s return. However, I’m curious to see what a horror movie evokes when it opens up.
