Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: FMCG stocks are rising as the market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks ended Friday’s session with gains.

Varun Beverages Ltd. (up 3.85%), Umang Dairies Ltd. (up 3.39%), LT Foods Ltd. (up 2.75%), Jyothy Labs Ltd. (up 2.21% ), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.90%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd. (up 1.89%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (up 1.52%), Marico Ltd. (up 1.33%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd. (increase by 1.16%) and Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (increase by 0.99%) were among those who gained the most.

Heritage Foods Ltd. (down 3.15%), Hindustan Foods Ltd. (down 1.96%), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (down 1.57%), Vadilal Industries Ltd. (down 1.27% ), Honasa Consumer Ltd. (down 1.21%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (down 1.17%), Gillette India Ltd. (down 0.87%), ADF Foods Ltd. (down 0 .80%), Zydus Wellness Ltd. (down 0.68%) and Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (down 0.48%) were among the biggest losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the session up 66.7 points at 23,465.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 181.87 points at 76,992.77.

Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 2.79%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.34%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 1.87%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (up by 1.79%), Titan Company Ltd. (up by 1.67%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up by 1.38%), Cipla Ltd. (up by 1.31%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 1.18%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (up 1.15%) and HDFC Bank Ltd. .(up 1.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.26%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (down 1.19%), Wipro Ltd. (down 1.06%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (down 0, 91%), State Bank of India (down 0.91%), down 0.56%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 0.54%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 0.43% ), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.42%), NTPC Ltd. (down 0.41%) and Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.37%) ended the session in the red.
