The Thanksgiving long weekend ended with a bombshell from the RCMP and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau: accusations that Indian government agents were linked to and helped orchestrate criminal acts in Canada. These allegations include acts such as murder and extortion against members of the country’s Sikh community.

It is the latest development in an ongoing dispute between Canada and India that began last year. Today, as diplomats are expelled from both countries, the consequences are only beginning.

Meanwhile, there is a growing movement within the federal Liberal caucus to oust Trudeau as leader, involving the release of a secret document.

Catherine Cullen, CBC’s senior parliamentary reporter and host of CBC Radio’s The House, joins us to talk about how it’s happening on Parliament Hill and beyond.
