DJ Akademiks Banned From Twitch After Hosting Adin Ross

DJ Akademiks, lawsuit, rape, defamation

DJ Akademiks has one less platform to stream on after being banned from Twitch.

DJ Akademiks has now joined Adin Ross on Twitch’s banned list, after hosting the controversial streamer during his live stream.

On October 17, Akademiks announced its withdrawal from the Twitch platform without providing information on the cause of its ban.

“FREE BIG AK,” he wrote in an Instagram caption. The photo showed the popular vlogger’s Twitch profile and an alert informing users that “Twitch partner ‘Akademiks’ has been banned!”

While the exact reason for Akademiks’ ban on Twitch is unclear, many have pointed out the timing following his recent livestream featuring OnlyFans star Gucci Third Leg and controversial streamer Adin Ross, who has been banned from Twitch since February 2023. On October 14, Akademiks hosted a live stream with Gucci Third Leg amid his STD scandal with fellow OnlyFans creator.

Gucci is accused of passing a sexually transmitted disease to another woman following a sexual encounter, and Akademiks invited the OnlyFans star to its Twitch platform to get to the bottom of his STD drama. In addition to Gucci Third Leg, Akademiks invited Adin Ross to join the conversation.

The problem lies in Ross’s permanent suspension from Twitch, and featuring him on a stream violates the platform’s policies. The streaming platform says banned streamers “may not appear on or participate in a third-party channel’s stream.”

“If a banned user appears on a third-party channel while suspended, this could result in the suspension of the channel in which they appear,” notes the platform.

By inviting Ross on his show, Twitch appears to have acted quickly by permanently banning Akademiks from the platform.

Loyal Akademiks fans have shared their plans to stop using Twitch following news of the vlogger’s ban.

“CNG, we are boycotting Twitch until they release my brother???” wrote one fan.

“Ak that’s the only reason I got Twitch,” someone else added.

One user noted how Akademiks was “banned from streaming with Banned Adin.”

Akademiks may have suffered a loss on Twitch, but he remains active on YouTube and Rumble, two streaming platforms where he also has a large following.
