Asus’ new gaming headset lets you frag noobs and call your mom at the same time

You may be dreaming about artificial intelligence and high-end processors at Computex this year, but underneath it all there are also plenty of great new gadget and peripheral announcements. One of the coolest is the Asus ROG Delta II gaming headset.

The new version of the gaming headset may not seem all that exciting, especially since it has a similar design to other ROG Delta headsets. But don’t be fooled by its external appearance – this bad boy offers amazing technology.

Most notable is Asus’ DualFlow Audio feature, which allows you to listen to two different audio sources simultaneously via 2.4 GHz wireless or Bluetooth, or switch between them. Now you can easily pick up a cell phone from your parents in the heat of battle without ruining your precious KDA score Call of Duty. It even has two sets of volume wheels, one on either side, so you can adjust the volume of each audio source separately.

Weighing 315 grams, the headset also has a modular design that allows for swappable ear cushions (both fabric and faux leather cushions are included) and comes with a detachable 10mm microphone.

Asus claims that the Delta II will last up to 110 hours (with RGB turned off), which, if true, will be significantly longer than their previous models. It also boasts a Bluetooth latency of just 40ms, which would give it one of the lowest latencies of any gaming headset.

The Delta II should also deliver incredible sound quality thanks to its 50mm titanium diaphragm drivers. This seems impressive, but we’ll have to wait and see if they sound as amazing as Asus claims.
