Search for missing Olmos Park mother Suzanne Simpson enters second week

The search for Suzanne Simpson is now in its second week, and there was new activity Monday in the search for Olmos Park’s mother.

Authorities gathered at a landfill, this time centered on the east side. It has been confirmed by DPS that this is related to the case of Suzanne Simpson.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Mobile Command and several law enforcement vehicles were outside this landfill in eastern Bexar County.

It’s just the latest location authorities have converged on in their search for Suzanne Simpson, who has been missing since October 6.

Simpson, a mother of four, was seen last Sunday in Alamo Heights. Her husband, Brad Simpson, has since been arrested.

This case has received a lot of attention from people throughout the community.

“A lot of people all over the world are watching this case very carefully. It’s gotten a lot more attention more quickly than your normal case,” Frank Trevino0 said.

Frank Trevino spent his day in Boerne, near an area where authorities raided last week. He searches in his free time, taking matters into his own hands because he just wants to help.

“Finding out where people live, who the owners are, and trying to figure out where access to those properties is, where a body might be hidden, where might a body be dumped, where might a body be located at this point, no one knows,” he added.

Trevino is searching every day and says he won’t stop until Suzanne is found. “I’m looking for possibilities as to where she could be,” he added.

On the legal side, a hearing was scheduled for Brad Simpson on Tuesday but has since been canceled due to the federal detention put in place by the ATF.

We will continue to ask you what the next steps are in this matter and will keep you informed.
