Jake Paul’s girlfriend Jutta Leerdam admits Mike Tyson has enough power to knock out her boyfriend.

If all goes as planned against “Iron Mike,” Paul hopes to follow in the footsteps of his speed skater girlfriend by becoming a world champion in his respective sport.

Leerdam, who represents the Netherlands on the international stage, has won six gold medals at the World Sprint Championships and the World Single Distance Championships.

She is also an Olympic silver medalist after finishing second in the women’s 1,000m at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.

As for Paul, he has set himself the high ambition of seeking a world cruiserweight title by the end of 2025.

This is an incredibly high ask for the YouTuber considering he has not fought a ranked opponent during his professional boxing career.

However, Leerdam pointed to the rapid development of Paul’s boxing skills as a key reason to be optimistic.

But she knows very well that he could collapse in an instant, especially against an opponent with devastating KO power.

“Jake’s progression is not normal,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

“Other athletes improve a few percentage points a year, if at all. Jake gains so much in a year. So I trust his skills. I’m very proud of him.

“But of course, Mike Tyson could throw a harder punch than Mike ever threw – and that will be the light for Jake.”

Although Paul campaigns as a heavyweight (200 pounds), he has the added challenge of fighting Tyson at heavyweight.

Paul projects Tyson to weigh 235 pounds and expects to be 15 pounds lighter at 220 pounds on fight night.

Paul has fought 11 times since his debut in January 2020 and has increased the difficulty level with each fight.

The 27-year-old has already fought twice this year, stopping former Golden Gloves champion Ryan Bourland and former UFC middleweight Mike Perry.

Other opponents Paul has defeated include former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, UFC icon Anderson Silva as well as Nate Diaz.

The only blemish on Paul’s record is a split decision defeat to former Love Island contestant Tommy Fury, who is Tyson Fury’s half-brother.

As for Tyson, his last fight was an exhibition against his compatriot Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.

However, the 58-year-old’s last professional fight took place in June 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride.
