    Aldi is on the hunt for the UK’s scariest house with a huge prize up for grabs

    Aldi is calling on Brits to show off their spookiest Halloween decorations for a chance to win £1,000 in store vouchers.

    The supermarket has teamed up with Darren Butler, the creative genius behind Whitnash’s House of Halloween, to judge the competition.

    Entries will be judged on their creativity, uniqueness and ability to delight or terrify passersby.

    To enter, entrants must send a photo of their decorated home, along with their full name and proof of age (over 18s only), to [email protected] by October 22. The winner will be announced on October 26.

    Julie Ashfield, general buying director at Aldi UK, said: “Halloween is always an exciting time for our customers who constantly impress us with their elaborate and creative displays.

    “This year we’re excited to celebrate this passion by offering shoppers the chance to win £1,000 worth of Aldi vouchers for their stunning decorations!”

    Competition judge Darren Butler added: “I’m delighted to be working with Aldi in their search for Britain’s scariest house.

    “I’ve been decorating my house for three years and Halloween is my favorite event of the year, so I can’t wait to see what spooky shows await me.”

    For those looking for decorations, Aldi has launched a range of affordable Halloween special buys, starting from just 99p. Their latest offers include the Halloween Floating Candles for £7.99 and the Tombstone Kit for £4.99, perfect for creating an eerie exterior.

    To complement the outdoor decor, shoppers can explore a variety of indoor decorations such as Halloween party decorations for £1.29, available in streamers, foil balloons or door fringes. Additional items include Halloween webs and stripes, Halloween window clings and Halloween paper hangers, all priced between 99p and £1.49.
