Dr Md Abu Jafor, Professor, Department of Pediatric Surgery, Sir Salimullah Medical College, has been appointed as the new Director General (Acting) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a notification in this regard today (October 15).

He said the order, issued by the President in the public interest, would come into force immediately.
