Royal Family News: Cushions, Rugs, No Negative Comments: Meghan and Harry’s List of Bizarre 2021 School Visit Requests Revealed

Cushions, rugs, no negative comments: Meghan and Harry's list of bizarre requests for 2021 school visit revealed
Harry and Meghan made a list of requests from a school in a low-income area they visited in 2021.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited a low-income New York school in 2021 for the filming of their Netflix documentary. It came just 18 months after the couple stepped down from royal duties in 2020. It has now been revealed that they made a long list of bizarre requests to the school in order for everything to go smoothly, a reported the Daily Mail.
Harry and Meghan suggested that the school bring in cushions and a new carpet so that they fit “Meghan’s aesthetic.”
Their staff took the time to choose which school they would visit and revised the press release several times to ensure the visit seemed “more substantive.” Archwell staff also required consent forms to be signed to ensure no negative comments were made publicly, after the visit and in the future. Teachers and students at the school were not allowed to discuss the project.
“I agree not to make any negative, derogatory or otherwise unfavorable statements, disparage or disparage any of the released parties,” the statement said.
DailyMail said it obtained the files through a FOIA request and discovered it was all orchestrated for Harry and Meghan’s public appearances filmed for the documentary.
British tabloids were not allowed to cover their visit to the school and only publications favorable to Meghan, such as Vogue, were allowed to report on it.
Harry and Meghan’s trip to New York in September 2021 was intended to showcase them as world leaders, as it included a stop at the United Nations to talk about vaccine equity. Their itinerary included an appearance at the Global Citizen festival in Central Park, where they were constantly followed by a film crew for the six-part Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, which premiered last December.
Meghan appeared at the low-income school wearing a $5,840 Loro Piana cashmere coat and $1,680 matching pants.
